This is a vintage chrome hand towel holder - not a modern reproduction. Judging from its appearance, it is probably from the 1930's to 1940's era, but it is not marked.
It is a nice sturdy piece with some weight. Great for use in a vintage bathroom or dressing room. This would sit on a counter and hold two small towels or wash cloths. The rings are moveable as shown in the photos.
This vintage piece shows some surface wear to the chrome along the stem and on the rings. The base is very shiny with the least wear. It still displays beautifully and looks like a vintage piece, not a flimsy modern take-off.
It is 12 inches tall and the base has a 4 1/4 inch diameter. The base is probably weighted to make it secure.
