SENSOR ? - If we have notes in the fitment vehicle information about a sensor,that is most often a sensor behind or in the base of the rearview mirror. This shade accommodates that sensor with a larger cut out for the rearview mirrors mounted on the windshield. You don't want the heat from the sun reflected onto that sensor as it can cause damage to the electronics in it. These sensor may be for features like Lane Departure, Collision Warning, Brake Assist, or various other optional features.
This interior saving accessory is a must have for all owners concerned with lowering temperatures inside their parked vehicle. It protects dashboards and leather seats from becoming hot and cracking while keeping the steering wheel and shift knob comfortable to the touch.
The Best Fitting Custom Sun Shields
Sunshields are very popular, used by many motorists to block the sun's damaging UV rays
and prevent heat build up inside their parked vehicles. Sunshields have evolved
from foldout cardboard pieces to more advanced laminated materials which
do a better job of reflecting UV rays and have a longer life
 
Consumers are not satisfied by the universal fit of most sun shields. This line of Custom Sun shields
was introduced more than 20 years ago, made of the highest
quality materials and cut precisely to the exacting contours of a vehicle's windshield.
Unlike the "bubble wrap" sunshades available, these sun shields are
manufactured using high quality tri-laminated material cut to exacting standards and finished with a black felt edging.
To achieve optimum reflection and insulation of heat and UV rays,
most materials are not able to fold or roll. These sunshields have a special high density foam
which has excellent insulation properties, laminated between two layers of Mylar.
The outer layer is Mylar with an aluminized coating, which reflects virtually most UV rays.
The inside layer is plain Mylar, which adds rigidity and protects the middle foam layer.
These three layers work together to provide the best heat and UV reflection, insulate against heat,
and withstand numerous folding and rolling while maintaining rigidity.
MIRRORS AND SENSORS:
If you have a mounted rearview mirror, there will be a rearview mirror cut out.
If you have a ceiling mounted rearview mirror, this probably won't have a mirror cut out.
Note: Rearview mirror cut outs need to be a little larger than the base ofthe mirror. This is so that your custom sun shade lasts for the longhaul with repetitive installation and removal.

Sensors make the baseof rearview mirrors larger and we accomodate that with a larger cut outfor the rearview mirrors mounted on the windshield. Installation and removal are a snap.
Installation is simply unrolling the Custom Sunshield and placing it against the vehicle's windshield.
Because the Custom Sunshield is cut to precisely the windshields shape, the surrounding frame
holds the sunshield in place. Some vehicles need to use the visors to assist in holding the sun shade up but many don't. (The need to use visors or not often depends on the angle of your windshield.)
Removal is just as simple.
To remove the sunshield, roll it up, and apply the strap to keep it in place.
  
Pleasealso note, this is a made to order custom item and is shipped from the factory. It has not been sitting in a warehouse with the weight of lots of other items sitting on top of it. Most often it takes 2-3 business days production time but that can be a few days longer during the heat of the summer. The estimated delivery date or ship date shown on this ebay item already added those production days into the time frame.
