A classic roleplaying game returns. This new retro-apocalyptic edition of Twilight: 2000 goes back to the roots of the franchise with open-world roleplaying in the devastation of World War III. Just like the original 1984 edition, this new game is set in a year 2000 devastated by war – now in an alternate timeline where the Soviet Union never collapsed.

The new edition of the apocalyptic RPG Twilight: 2000 will be the fourth in the series, the first being released by Game Designers’ Workshop in 1984. Just like the original version, the new edition is set in a year 2000 devastated by war – now in an alternate timeline where the Moscow Coup of 1991 succeeded and the Soviet Union never collapsed.

“The first edition of Twilight: 2000 was an iconic game for me back in the ’80s, and we are humbled and honored to work with Marc Miller and Game Designers’ Workshop to bring a new edition to life. The original game was really ahead of its time. Our goal is to build on the amazing sandbox survival gameplay and develop it further, making it more accessible using the tools of modern game design,” says lead game designer Tomas Härenstam.

“When I saw this proposal to revisit the Twilight universe, I signed on immediately. As I have seen the work proceed, I have not been disappointed, and I look forward to seeing this project become reality,” says Marc Miller of Far Future Enterprises and co-founder of Game Designers’ Workshop.

Also part of the project are Amargosa Press (who have recently announced the new Dark Conspiracy 4th Edition RPG), Polish RPG publisher Black Monk Games (who will act as a consultant on the Poland in 2000 AD game setting as well as publish a Polish edition of the game), and Far Future Enterprises (who publishes the fifth edition of the Traveller science-fiction roleplaying game).

The design team is led by Tomas Härenstam (ALIEN RPG, Forbidden Lands, Mutant: Year Zero), with setting and scenario writing by Chris Lites (Conan, Over the Edge), editing by Angus Abranson (Doctor Who, The One Ring), interior art by Niklas Brant (Forbidden Lands), cover art by Martin Grip (ALIEN RPG, Symbaroum), and maps by Tobias Tranell (Forbidden Lands). Several active and retired servicemen from the U.S. military are assigned to the project as consultants.

Just like the original game, the new edition of Twilight: 2000 is set in a Poland devastated by war, but the game also offers an alternative Swedish setting, as well as tools for placing the game anywhere in the world.

In the game, players take roles of survivors in the aftermath of World War III – soldiers or civilians. Their goal, beyond surviving for another day, can be to find a way back home, to carve out their own fiefdom where they are, to find out more about the mysterious Operation Reset, and maybe, just maybe, make the world a little bit better again.

The core gameplay uses the hexcrawling system established in Mutant: Year Zero and Forbidden Lands RPGs (both Silver ENnie winners for Best Rules, in 2015 and 2019), developing it further to fit the gritty world of Twilight: 2000. The core rules build on the Year Zero Engine, but heavily adapted to fit Twilight: 2000 and its focus on gear and gritty realism.

How can you get combined shippng?

1) Add all the items you want into your shopping cart. Just add everything you want into your shopping cart, then go into your cart and click on the “Request total from seller” link. You need to do this on the ebay US website (www.ebay.com) as international sites may not allow combined shipping. If you are using a cell phone, you will need to use a full internet browser or scroll down to the bottom of the ebay page and select the “ebay classic site”. The mobile site does not offer combined shipping.

2) Have eBay's system can do an automatic combination for you. EBay's system will charge you full shipping for the item with the most expensive shipping and add an additional amount for each item you add to the order. This works well if all items are heavy, or you only have a few items. If you are buying lots of small items, or items that are very different in size, you will usually get a much better rate using either option #1 or option #3.

3) You can click "Buy It Now" on all the items you want - but do not pay for them yet. When ebay asks you to pay, instead just continue shopping. When you have agreed to buy all the items you want, click on the "Request Total from Seller" link on one of the order pages, and wai for us to send you a combined invoice.

WHEN MAKING PAYMENT

We accept Paypal (Ebay Payments), Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. You must include your shipping address with your payment. If you have special instructions, please contact us before making payment. Please do not use Paypal's "Notes" section on the payment to make special handling requests. We do reserve the right to restrict payment types or to require verification of identity to help prevent fraud. Payment must be received within 4 days. After 4 days have passed items will be released to other buyers.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING

Most packages will arrive within 3-14 days. We ship quickly, but have no control over what the carrier does with the package once it leaves our hands. If you need guaranteed delivery by a specific date, please E-mail us for a shipping quote that includes a guaranteed delivery date (such as Express Mail, or UPS 2 & 3 day delivery services). Shipments to P.O. Boxes may incur additional charges (because we normally ship our heavy items vis UPS or FedEx).

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

International First Class Mail: This service offers an average 5-20 day delivery with in-transit tracking. If a package does not arrive within 30 days, we can arrange for a refund or replacement. We recommend this service or better if you are in a hurry to get your items.
International Economy (Standard) Shipping averages 10-40 days for delivery. Economy is an inexpensive, but slower delivery option. DO NOT USE THIS OPTION IF YOU LIVE IN AUSTRALIA, NORWAY, CANADA OR OTHER AREAS OF THE WORLD PRONE TO LONG DELIVERY TIMES as you may see delivery times of up to 60 days. This is a consolidated service where the post office gathers a bunch of packages going to the same area together to ship in a single container as a bulk shipment rather than shipping each package individually.
