Large compote or jam jar was made by Fostoria and is called "Atlanta". In beautiful condition with almost no visible wear,  though there is one small chip on the underside of one corner of the lid. Difficult to photograph, the chip is also difficult to see when the lid is resting atop the jar.  Originally clear, the compote and lid are "turning purple" which gives them a really lovely subtle color. 

Jar measures about 4 5/8" high and when lid is in place, 7 1/4". Measures 3 1/4" square.
