Up for sale is a 1932 token or medal from Wakefield, Virginia, marking the bicentennial celebration of Washington's birth.
Description: It is made from brass, and measures approximately 32mm in diameter. It corresponds with Baker's Washingtonia book listing B-929. Note the BBB Co (Bailey, Banks & Biddle) die signature on the reverse, which is far less common than the Whitehead-Hoag die signature often seen on a similar piece.
It has been graded at MS63 and encapsulated by NGC.
Condition: Nice for the grade with great luster and a minimum of handling. Please examine the photographs for further details and qualities.
