Available for sale is an Antique Pair 2 Sheffield England Silver Compotes Etched Cut Bristol Glass Bowls c1850.
This is a beautiful pair of English Victorian Silver-plate Compotes in the Victorian pattern with Etched & Cut Bristol Bowls. They were made in Sheffield England circa 1850. They measure about 11-1/2" high (including the glass bowl) and the bowl is about 9-1/2" in diameter. I see no marking on the pieces. Comes with 2 silver cloth bags. These were appraised 51 years ago for $300.
These items are in excellent condition, especially for their age. There are a few small chips on the pointed part of the glass and some scratches/marks where the glass sits in the silver pieces (see last 2 photos). Some of the ornate grape pieces are a bit loose. They can be removed and reattached. I don't want to damage by over tightening. Please review all 12 photos above for a better idea of the condition and dimensions.
