Oporajeo is a workers’ initiative in Bangladesh. It was set up by garment workers that escaped the sweatshops industry, they wanted 

to create a new factory that wasn’t built on exploitation but could provide workers with a decent life.

No Sweat began life in the November 2000 as a campaign against sweatshop labour, both overseas and in the UK and quickly became a national network of campaigners around the country operating under one banner. 

Sweatshop labour is modern, global capitalism stripped bare. From the small, backstreet sweatshop to some of the biggest corporations in the world – child labour, forced overtime, poverty wages, unsafe conditions, harassment of women workers and intimidation of trade unionists are commonplace. No Sweat stands for workers’ solidarity.
