Photograph Notes: This has to be the daftest arrangement of a forest, which post-dates the triangulation pillar. To be fair, they did leave a clearing. Images of this location are an interesting time-sequence showing growth of the trees. Without GPS this is a difficult target to locate, though there are sufficient visitors to leave an encouraging, though vestigial track through the trees. On this occasion we were also faced with the aftermath of a morning's rain, so were hot, sodden, itchy with dropped needles and assailed by swarms of insects.
