Kit for 200mt of economical wire mesh fencing/farm fencing

60 pre-galvanized ‘open’ posts 52x35mm

The kit consists of:

200mt of wire mesh fencing/farm fencing – galvanized knotted mesh – wire diameter 1.9/2.5mm

60  ‘open’ posts 52x35mm – pre-galvanized iron

The mesh is made by knotting the vertical wire onto the horizontal wire.  The vertical and horizontal wires are heavily galvanized steel.  The use is designed to fence large areas of agriculture and livestock.  It is considered as one of most economic meshes of its range.

-   The post, with a 52x35mm section, is an open profile.  Its particular section and ribs provide strength and resistance to the normal stresses arising from the mechanization process.

-   The open profile avoids the formation of condensation and oxidization to the inner part

-   Installation is simple and fast

-   The slots which are placed at 15cm intervals, have an N shape that prevents the wire from becoming loose.

LAYING OF WIRE MESH FENCING

For long lasting and easy installation of a wire mesh fence, you should carefully read this page.

To follow the first figure below, you will need: the starting post with a single diagonal post for reinforcement (A); corner post, with 2 diagonal posts at 90° (B); intermediate post, (C1); and finally a reinforced post with 2 diagonal posts (C2).  The posts of reinforcement are required every 25 metres for linear fencing.

Fences with wire mesh rolls, can come in two different types: with posts cemented or posts fixed into the soil.

Look at the picture below:

1)     In the first figure, it shows a wall or concrete cube, for which the height of the post should be the same height as the mesh plus 25cm ("h" + 25cm).

2)     In the second figure, posts fixed into the soil, the post should be the same height as the mesh plus 50cm ("h" + 50cm).

Depending on the length of the perimeter, the number of the posts and the necessary accessories must be determined for installation.  The posts should be placed at a distance, preferably every 2 metres.

You will then need to measure the sides of the fencing and carefully count the posts needed.

VARIOUS STEPS OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE FENCE:

1) Installation of posts and diagonal posts.

1)     Decide the type of fence to be installed (fixed into the soil or cemented).

2)     Outline well the area of the fence with a rope like a bricklayer’s, with which it should be marked in a straight line to the border

3)     Once you have outlined well the area of fencing, it is necessary, according to your needs, to set the frame of the fence (in the soil or in the cement), as well as the posts and diagonal posts.

4)     It is better to start laying with the corner posts.

If you want to fix the posts with cubes of cement mortar , you should dig a hole of about 25x25x25cm.  After filling the hole with cement mortar, the post should be driven in until it touches the bottom, held in alignment with the placed ropes and checked with a spirit level.

If however, the posts are to be fixed into the soil, the hole should be about 50cm

2) INSTALLATION OF TENSION WIRE AND RESPECTIVE TENSIONERS

Once you have constituted the frame of your fence with the positioning of the posts and diagonal posts, the next step is essential.  It is to give robustness to the fence, by passing the tension wire through the holes on each post and tying them to the respective tensioner.

Once you have applied the tensioner to the respective tension wire (preferably at a distance of about 15cm from the post) with the help of a pincer or respective key, pass the tension wire into the tensioner which will allow you to pull the tension wire to the right point, to strengthen your fence to the maximum.

3)  INSTALLATION AND SECURING OF THE MESH

The last step that remains, to see your work completed, is the installation of the mesh, which is generally done by starting at the starting post and by tying the mesh with the binding wire to the post.

At this point you can proceed with the unrolling of the mesh, along all the posts you have installed, by tying the mesh to the tension wire and to the respective posts.

Join the last part of the fence, making sure that the mesh is tight on every point, tying it like you did at the first post.

At this point you can see, with a lot of satisfaction, your completed work .
