THIS IS A 1990s Photo Computer Print - IT IS A 1990s COPY AND NOT A VINTAGE ITEM

This is a PHOTO COPY of a the TROPICAL SERENADE poster to the Magic Kingdom's TIKI ROOM at WALT DISNEY WORLD presented by Florida Citrus Grower

A MUSICAL LUAU WITH AN ASTONISHING CAST

This was one of the original Magic Kingdom attractions when the park opened October 1, 1971.  It was also known as the Sunshine Pavilion (Florida Citrus Growers was the original sponsor) and The Enchanted Tiki Birds.  It was very similar to the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland although the pre-show did not feature Tiki God statues.  Instead, it featured a waterfall that parted to show two birds named Clyde and Claude having a dialogue with each other as they sat on top of a Tiki statue.  The statues from the Disneyland preshow found a home at Walt Disney World as exterior decor at the Polynesian Resort and in the Walt Disney World Tiki Room queue as decoration.

The Tiki Room used to require a D ticket.  The Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room was written by the Sherman Brothers.  Let's All Sing Like the Birdies Sing was written by Robert Hargreaves, Stanley Damerell and Tolchard Evans while Hawaiian War Chant was written by Prince Leleiohoku.  Heigh Ho was from Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and was written by Frank Churchill and Larry Morey.  The spoken dialogue for the show was written by Wally Boag and featured Boag as Jose, Fulton Burley as Michael, Thurl Ravenscroft as Fritz, and Ernie Newton as Pierre.

Tropical Serenade closed September 1, 1997 and reopened in the spring of 1998 as The Enchanted Tiki Room-Under New Management with hosts Zazu from The Lion King and Iago from Aladdin.

In January of 2011, there was a fire in the attic of the attraction which damaged the Iago Audio-Animatronic (which was ironic since there is a "scorched" Iago figure in the show).  The attraction closed for refurbishment and reopened on August 15th, 2011 with the original show, although there were some edits for pacing.

The show was now titled Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room.

One thing the Under New Management show was missing was a "barker bird" outside of the attraction.

Wally Boag from Disneyland's Golden Horseshoe Revue was the voice of the bird, who urged people to go see the attraction inside the building.  You can see a picture of the original Disneyland Barker Bird on the Eastern Airlines poster in the If You Had Wings/If You Could Fly section.

There was later a Caribbean barker bird (pictured below). The original Tiki Room is still being performed at Disneyland.

Tokyo Disneyland's Tiki Room has been reworked twice.  First it was changed into a show called Get the Fever.   In the summer of 2008,

Stitch was added and the show was named Aloha E Komo Mai.
