Vintage Transfer Pattern

Vogart 259

"9 Smart Kitchen Decor Motifs - Plus 5 motifs for Aprons, Potholders, etc."

Transfer pattern details: "Smart Slogans to Make Kitchen Chores Lighter!" This iron-on transfer pattern features 9 motifs for stamping on dish towels, with captions such as "From the Sea," "From the Range," "Ham 'N' Eggs," and "Coffee 'N'Cake."  There are also 5 smaller designs for potholders, aprons and the like. Some captions: "Westward Ho!," "Ship Ahoy!," and "Steamboat Coming!" The images to be embroidered include ships, steamboats, covered wagons, hams, fish, lighthouses, garden vegetables, and more. (I use the plural because some of the towel motifs are duplicated in the apron/potholder motifs.

Size: The dish towel motifs measure about 8" high x 5" wide. The apron/potholder motifs measure about 5" high x 3" wide.

Copyright date: Not given, but I have read that this pattern was first printed in 1959.

Condition: Complete and uncut/unused. The envelope is bright and colorful; it has minor creasing, plus a number written above the pattern number on the front. Included are the transfer sheet and the directions (on the envelope).

See scan of envelope back for fabric suggestions, instructions, and other info.
