DESCRIPTION:
This is a nice decorative Italian ceramic hand painted lamp light fixture. The item is made of hand painted ceramic pottery with a glazed finish (see photos). The item has a single light bulb inside and what looks to be the original cord. The lamp is in working condition. I would recommend re-wiring all vintage lighting before use (see photos). The item is marked by the maker Made in Italy and with a number on the underside of the base. The item was made in Italy and it is Italian in origin (see photos and decide the age, the origin and the maker). The lamp is in the form of a large seashell as past of a coral reef with a fish, a starfish and other sea life as decorative elements (see photos). The item is well made with a nice Mid Century Modernism style (see photos). This item in total measures about 1 foot 1 and 1/2 inches high, it is about 7 inches from the front side to the back side and it is about 1 foot 3 and 1/2 inches wide from side to side. With all of the decorative and raised elements on this lam I doubt that many have survived in such good condition. The item has some crazing and some minimal wear (see photos and / or written description for the condition of this item). This is a nice figural vintage Italian nautical themed lamp for your beach cottage home.
