Such a wonderful rare find! Lovely intact antique vintage purple plaid Kelsch duvet cover! So unusual to find purple and in this wonderful large scale plaid! Wonderful rustic homespun linen on back.Entirely hand sewn including venter seam on both front and back that combines two full width of linen on each!  These lovely loomed plaid textiles where typical  Alsace region of France, produced mainly by rural farmers between 1900-1930. The plaid is a wonderful homespun linen with perhaps a bit of cotton blend.  Lovely to use as duvet or LOTS of fabulous fabric to repurpose for  upholstery, pillows or many other home decor or craft projects Pieced on front and back. Tie closure.   Charming small monogram! 


Condition: Excellent! No notable stains or damage, really amazing conditionThis piece has washed beautifully! There are two small areas that look like marks but they are woven in the fabric, see last photo. 

 Freshly washed.
