Underwater shooting down to 14 meters, for up to two hours According to the IPX 8 or JIS Class 8 classification, the WG-80 not only allows for snorkelling just below the water surface but is also rated for up to two hours of diving at up to 14 metres. For underwater photography or video recording, the WG-80 has special shooting modes. Colours and contrasts are optimised to deliver sharp, lifelike images.

The red tones that are lost in underwater photography are enhanced, while effectively compensating for a loss of contrast caused by the scattering of light in water. In addition, the flash function can be selected so that two pictures are taken in succession with (flash off) and (flash on).
