This Radio Dial Cord is good and strong and suitable for all radios that have a visible waveband showing the horizontal or vertical scale readout of the frequency and/ or the wavelength of reception. During the 1940's to the 1950's and on into the 1960's, the radio's in use were mainly valve/ tube radios. In the early sixties onwards transistors were starting to become available for use quite extensively. Some radios especially early car radios were hybrids using both valves and transistors. This dial cord is able to be fitted to car radios as well, whether, valve or hybrid or transistor only.

Some of the Radio manufacturers that used Dial cord were:-  Eddystone, Marconi, Philips, Bush, Ekco, Grundig, Decca, Pye, HMV, GEC, Ferguson, Ferranti, Perdio, Murphy, Cossor. These makes were all valve/tube radios or radiograms.

Some of the transistor radios with horizontal or vertical scale readout of frequency/wavelength where dial cord  was used were:- Roberts, Hacker, Fidelity, Alba, Bush, GEC, ITT, RCA, PYE, HMV, Sony, Sharp, Panasonic, Portadyne, Steepletone, Perdio, Philips, Eveready, Radiomobile(car radios). Various Radio cassette players during the early 1970's through to the 1980's, some were analogue displays but a lot of frequency displays then were going over to LED or LCD readout thus making the Dial Cord redundant. Some stereo stack systems with a tuner still in use today have an analogue display especially Sharp, Sony, Awia, Akai, Panasonic, Hitachi to name a few, still use Dial Cord.

Anyway what you will receive in this listing is:-  4 Metres of 1.00mm synthetic cord - very strong and durable.
