- The print says "L'Exposition Universelle 1889" along the top edge in small print - Paris World's Fair
- The print appears to be of prehistoric or primitive human beings - A group of men on the left, armed with spears and dressed in furs/animal skin, are presenting a slain black bear to a white-haired elder of the community - There are children and half-clothed women on the right side of the illustration - They are all starting in front of a primitive building, appearing to be built into or alongside a large tree - There are also multiple dogs or wolves present - Illustration is in black and white
- Decorative wooden frame with scalloped edge, covered in plaster, and painted gold
- No cardboard backing - Glass insert - Wire on back for wall hanging - Comes with original nails that held the print in place - I will place cardboard over the back of the print for shipping
- Frame: 9 1/2" Tall x 12 1/2" Wide x 7/8" Deep
- Print: 8" Tall x 11 1/2" Wide

- Numerous small discoloration/browning/foxing spots on the print - In the photographs, a lot of the visible dust/grime is on the glass insert - However, some is on the print as well
- A few small margin tears around the edges of the print - Both side edges of the print were folded over by the original owner in order to fit into the frame - There is some seam splitting and minor chipping at these points - No holes in the print
- Some small scratches, scuffs and dings to the plaster on the wooden frame - This has cause minor chipping around the edges and some paint wear, revealing the white plaster underneath and at times the wooden frame as well - Lots of paint wear on the outer edge
- The glass insert is covered in dust and needs to be cleaned
