This is an authentic antique jacket from the Edwardian era; 1900-1914. It was carefully handmade using fine velvet, delicate lace and a smooth lining fabric. The jacket has the typical shape of that time; big puffy bust, tiny synched
waist and "mutton chop" sleeves.
The velvet is a gorgeous deep blue and the closures are almost invisible hooks & eyes. The front is lined with a white lace and has a small inside pocket. See photos for the frayed lining. Also, the bottom of the left sleeve lining has been removed. It wasn't abused, it just didn't last 100 years! It would be worth restoring.
