Really neat statement ring. Victorian era, based on the ring style. It's a synthetic stone meant to simulate color changing alexandrite. Natural alexandrite is incredibly rare so most everything available is laboratory made. This is most likely a lab created sapphire. It does test as sapphire with my presidium tester.

It turns blue in the sun and purple indoors. The last few photos show the ring next to sunlight coming in from the window.

Marked just k inside, marks have worn off or were removed with resizing. Tested at 14k.
