Photograph Notes: Lodge Road is a privately-owned and privately-maintained road in Sundridge, near Bromley in the outer suburbs of south east London. The local authority maintains the road in the foreground, but only as far as the red signs. Notice how the road surface changes there. This image was taken on a dull and gloomy January day. Some of the trees in the image were bare for the winter months, although some evergreen trees are also present.
