Presenting a delightful pair of vintage Australian Pottery miniature vases / flower pots created and signed Martin Boyd, the pottery established by Guy Boyd with the help of his brother David Boyd.
Each of these stunning smaller sized pieces has a sleek clean-lined modernist form with a dynamic peaked rim. Each piece is beautifully decorated with a hand painted flowering plant to the front while a smaller flowering sprig to the reverse wonderfully unifies the design. The hand painted design appears atop a crisp white underglaze.
SIZE: Being hand crafted pieces this pair vary slightly in size. The slightly larger piece stands approx 63mms tall and measures 65mms in diameter while the marginally smaller example stands 60mms tall and measures 63mms in diameter.
CONDITION: This pair are presented in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, stains or repairs. These pieces appear to have been treasured as display items and present wonderfully.
MARKS: The base of one piece is beautifully signed with an inscribed signature "Martin Boyd". The second piece is unsigned.
