Photograph Notes: A large standing stone, some 2m high at the side of the track that drops down towards Northdale Farm. The track looks to be a squelchy mess, but ground to the left is firm, so no need for a boot full of peaty water. Mick Garratt has photographed a similar stone higher on the moor, and Like him, I would have to speculate that this could have been some sort of boundary marker - maybe an estate boundary, or possibly this was just a waymark at the side of a well used track.
