“Granada en la Fotografia del Siglo XIX,” published by Diputacion Provincial de Granada in Spain in 1992, 94 pages, oblong folio-size softcover in thick wraps, 15.75” by 11”. Introduction in Spanish. Luxurious government-sponsored publication on early photographs of Granada, published in conjunction with an exhibition. Very beautiful book produced to the highest standards, with elegant typography in black and red on lush cream Arcoprint Avorio paper and the exceptional reproductions of rare albumen photos on Silk paper, the majority in an oversize format. Superb images of the architectural heritage, the Alhambra, and citizens throughout, by several early masters of photography, including Charles Clifford, Juan Laurent, Rafael Garcon, James Valentine, Carlos Maufsaise, and Jose Garcia Ayola. Outstanding book – my highest recommendation. In excellent condition save for a trace of edgewear and rubbing to cover.
