There is light foxing to endpapers and some interior pages.  Additionally, there is some light

wear to the volume itself. This particular copy was inscribed by H. G. Wells on the front free endpaper to one Frank Israel in the year of the book’s publication

Although the inscription is in the hand of H. G. Wells, it oddly lacks his signature. I checked this with several other H. G. Wells original book inscriptions we have and it matches the author's unique handwriting.

This is an important science fiction book and much more so with writing in the hand of Wells.
