INTRODUCTION

If you're like me, Pokémon will always hold a special place in your heart. I received my first Pokémon game back before I could even read and I cherished every moment of it. Time, however, is not kind. Degradation of physical cartridges and components is very real, and many of our beloved memories can be lost. I saw so many cases of friends losing their Pokémon, be it misplacing cartridges or the trials of time. Batteries degrade and corrode, cartridges break, and equipment fails. I wanted to make sure no one had to experience that pain if they so choose.

I embarked on a journey, twenty years in the making, to play through and collect as many Pokémon as possible, ensuring each creature was legitimate and legal in the game play-sense. I never enjoyed modded Pokémon games and wanted a genuine experience without having to worry about hardware failures or replacement cartridges that are no longer in production. Using un-patched, in-game exploits (if applicable) on authentic hardware, I bring to you a listing that embraces every Pokémon trainer's goal - to be the very best.

What I have listed is not unique - many other sellers do this. However, the turn-off is the cost; many sellers inject fake, legal but illegitimate Pokémon into their games for an outrageous price. Pokémon is a passion, and I have spent real time curating collections that all ages and demographics can enjoy for about as much as what you would have paid for an original copy at time of release. My game has been well-loved and I want to share that with you!

Once a purchase is finalized, your funds are then used to purchase the item(s) of your choice. I do not (usually) have these on hand, so I must order the necessary hardware. Once I receive your item(s), I will begin file transfer, which, depending on the collection, can take several days for validation. All orders include a tracking number and are sent via USPS!

GAME DETAILS
POKEMON

All Pokémon were acquired, captured or traded by legitimate, in-game means for most Pokémon in an English version of Pokémon Yellow. In some cases, some Pokémon are unable to caught in their respective game. The following cases were documented in dealing with these challenges:

Case 1: In-game exclusive species.
Example: Meowth cannot be caught in Pokémon Yellow.
Includes: #013 Weedle, #014 Kakuna, #015 Beedrill, #023 Ekans, #24 Arbok, #026 Raichu, #052 Meowth, #053 Persian,  #109 Koffing, #110 Weezing, #125 Electabuzz, #126 Magmar.
Solution: Traded from other Generation I titles to acquire the aforementioned Pokémon.

Case 2: In-game trade exclusive species.
Example: Jynx is unable to be found in the wild in all Generations but can be traded with an in-game NPC to obtain.
Includes: #124 Jynx
Solution: Traded with in-game NPC to obtain.

Case 3: Event exclusive species.
Example: Mew was secretly created by Shigeki Morimoto in consent with Satoshi Tajiri as part of an internal prank at GameFreak during the end of the development of Pokémon Red and Green. Originally it was supposed to never appear in-game, but soon after the games were released players found the select bug which lead to the discovery of Mew.
Includes: #151 Mew
Solution: This was a lot of fun! Tracking down a legitimate Mew for such an older Generation was definitely difficult, as many events were before my time or were out of country. Luckily, game data was backed up from a winner of the 1999 Toys "R" Us event distribution in the United States. In it, he shared his Mew in order to give players a second chance at reliving said event. I used this to trade as I would have with any other title. In terms of legitimacy, this is as close as one can get without actually having the official game cartridge on-hand and preserved for all time; unfortunately most, if not, all of these Mews are probably destroyed. With this cartridge, it lives on!

Included are one of each specie of Pokémon (i.e., all evolutions are included and not just the final evolution) excluding in-game trades that are kept separate. Because breeding is unavailable in Pokémon Yellow, in-game exploits have been used to make duplicates of same species and then leveled-up to following evolutions. This was done to reduce downtime when playing and recapturing similar / identical species for sake of completion.

All Pokémon have their original specie name and are not given any nickname.

As far as I am aware,  no Pokémon is considered Shiny. This is because Shiny Pokémon did not exist in Pokémon Yellow, although one could trade to Generation II titles to determine if it is considered Shiny. However, I did not do this and do not believe any Pokémon I have is actually Shiny.

POKEMON LEVELING

All Pokémon have been battle-hardened and reside at Lv. 100. I am an avid Pokémon Stadium fan and used quite a bit of Pokémon battle strategies to play with others in tournaments. To preserve legitimacy, as mentioned, in-game exploits have been used to make duplicates of same species and then leveled-up to following evolution's (e.g., Bulbasaur was cloned until three copies exist; the two clones were then leveled-up to evolve into Ivysaur and Venusaur, respectfully). Therefore, you can expect earlier evolution's of a species to have the exact same independent value (IV) spread.

POKEMON STATS AND MOVE POOL

All Pokémon have random IV spreads, as IV training was not very prominent in Generation I titles (if this is important for you, please reach out to me and I can provide individual IV stats for the Pokémon you request). All Pokémon also have random EV spreads whilst being leveled-up to Lv. 100.

All Pokémon, in some shape of form, have been used in competitive battling in other Generation I titles (Pokémon Stadium, PvP, etc.). Therefore, you can expect their move pools to have a range of competitive advantages outlined on Pokémon battle sites (Smogon, etc.). Not all Pokémon are competitively viable - this determination is up to you.

POKEMON ORIGINAL TRAINER (OT) AND TRAINER IDENTIFICATION

As mentioned, all Pokémon were raised and trained by me in some fashion, be it catching or trading. Therefore, you will find a unique TID for each Pokémon if it did not originate from Pokémon Yellow (e.g., traded from Pokémon Red). All OT names will be "7SINS" unless traded by an in-game NPC or it is an event Pokémon (i.e., Mew).

IN-GAME EVENTS, INFORMATION AND MISCELLANEOUS

The provided game data is considered "unlocked" and not "100% complete". By this, I mean I have "beaten" the game (i.e., OT has become Pokémon Champion) and completed the PokéDex (diploma provided by in-game Game Freak Game Designer). However, some events or interact-able situations may not have occurred. For example, I may not have found a hidden item, nor collected a specific item from another NPC; this is because these situations did not impact my game play.

In-game item duplication glitches were used to generate items to reduce downtime (e.g., Max Repels, Master Balls) for making the game less time-intensive. I felt that it's more important to focus on the Pokémon experience than it is to spent time gathering enough money to do what you want. I have the opinion that in-game bugs were not fixed by developers and are subject to exploitation and personal (otherwise, why else would we have Mew?). This is not the same as hacking, which is using code to inject
code that didn't exist for this title. I am against such actions. Other quality of life items include: maximum Game Corner coins; maximum coins for shopping; maximum evolutionary items (Rare Candy, Evolutionary Stones); all Key Items for catching Pokémon obtained.

As I mentioned, I thoroughly enjoy Pokémon Stadium. As such, I have played it to completion and was awarded the ability to teach my companion Pikachu the move Surf! With this move, you can play the mini game Pikachu's Beach!
