Hoya Fusion One filters incorporate high-grade optical glass and a low profile frame, plus stain-and water-resistant coating. The Fusion One UV, is a 18 Layer multi-coated filter that features ultra-high 99.8% light transmission, high grade optical glass, a low-profile frame, and a stain resistant and water repellent coating. Hoya uses extreme care and precision to apply the improved 18-layer Super Hoya multi-coating (HMC) formula that greatly reduces or eliminates reflections on the surface of the glass and yields a 99.8% light transmission rate. This means the filter has virtually no effect on color balance, contrast, or clarity of the final image. Fusion One filters are a great choice for both amateur and professional photographers.

  • Higher quality UV filters will have multi-coatings on both sides of the glass. Make sure the specs state that both sides are coated.
  • Multi-Coated layers ensure increased light transmission.
  • Multi-Coated Filters have Higher Light transmission than Non-Coated Filters.
  • Multi-coatings prevent double image reflections or ghosting, contrast reducing flare, and increase color accuracy.

The Quality of filter you put on your lens will govern the quality of your image. A great lens does not cancel out a low quality filter!Avoid low quality non-coated UV and Protection filters.

This one-piece design allows the filter to maintain parallel alignment to the sensor plane for maximum sharpness, while the low-profile form eliminates vignetting when used with ultra-wide angle lenses.
