Details:This auction is for the rare exquisite porcelain MORIAGE cup and saucer,made in Occupied Japan after the WWII in late 1940s. The set is hand painted in intricate raised pattern, featuring white dragons with blue eyes. The cup has gorgeous beige luster glaze on inside.

MORIAGE is a special type of raised decoration. Moriage pieces are known for their highly stylized raised decorations.

 

The bottom of each piece is marked HAND PAINTED MADE IN OCCUPIED JAPAN.

 

The cup and saucer is as seen in the photos.

 

Measurements: Cup measures approx. 1.5" tall and 2.2" across the top. The saucer is 3.75" across.

 

Condition:The vintage Occupied Japan cup and saucer are in very good condition with minimal signs of age
