Alpine Sports Opinion: I have had the original Sirocco and now I have this new one. I was mad about this product from the start, so light and much more comfortable than other helmets I have used. I did realise that in a rock fall situations, the original design was leaving us open to sharper rocks, simply splitting the top of the helmet so the newer model with the reinforced cap is very welcome. It also comes down at the back, lower around the head offering more protection. You really don't know you are wearing this helmet on your head. Its well vented and has the magnetic closure clip. Highly recommended for fast and light climbers and alpinists trying to keep weight down. Thanks for reading, Nigel
