Windows 98 was current at that time,, and Windows XP came out in 2001. 
I loaded this on my XP home computer and it worked fine.  It should work on Windows 98 as well, .  but that is not guaranteed.
   I CANNOT GUARANTEE THAT IT WILL WORK ON OTHERS (Windows 95, 7, NT etc).
again, I cannot guarantee FOR THOSE Other Windows Platforms. .
