Commonly referred to as a bud gate, the two broad-based bud vases serve as support posts for the central panel or "gate". Lovely Art Nouveau/Italianate design, featuring grape clusters and a large grape leaf in the center panel in tan on a dark brown matt glaze background. Middle Period, introduced 1925. Very hard to find piece.
- Condition: No chips, cracks or repairs. There is some crazing, but it’s not too visible because the piece is so dark. It is visible on the lighter parts.
- Marks: R stamp.
- Dimensions: 4 3/4" high, 8 5/8" wide, 3 1/4" deep, 1" opening at rim.
