Photograph Notes: Levant was mined for tin and its workings stretched out far under the sea. The mine eventually became part of the adjacent Geevor. The working 'whim' or winding engine and buildings were restored by the Trevithick Society and are in the care of the National Trust. The picture shows the boilerhouse standing against the whim enginehouse, the empty pumping enginehouse on the right and the headgear of Skip Shaft behind.
