Recommendations
With an overall length of 44.5 mm and a weight of approximately 130 g, this compact standard zoom lens is easy to carry around and is a good match for the small bodies of mirrorless cameras. The effective placement of the three aspherical lens elements also delivers high image quality. The STM (stepping motor) is used for quiet and smooth autofocusing.

This zoom lens is recommended for mirrorless cameras that can be easily carried around.

EF-M Lenses for Mirrorless EOS
The EF-M lenses were newly developed together with the EF-M mount as lenses exclusively for mirrorless EOS cameras, and in addition to the optical technology developed for EF lenses, the mirrorless structure of the camera has significantly shortened the back focus to achieve high image quality and a compact, lightweight design. Furthermore, the lens crystallizes the high quality design characteristic of EF lenses into a compact size, including a focus ring and zoom ring with a twill knurled* shape that fits comfortably in the hand.
