Visconti is excited to announce the launch of the new ‘Medici Astral’ collection, Visconti’s first ever collaboration with a US resin manufacturer.

This spectacular resin, made in the USA, is hand turned at Visconti’s Florentine factory into the shape of their iconic ‘Medici’ model. This resin was selected for its deep color saturation and is dusted with silver flecks to give a unique and mystifying luminescence.

As a tribute to one of the greatest dynasties in Italian history, Visconti designed the ‘Medici’. The family was a noble house that stood out for their political, financial, and cultural influence on the city of Florence. Most of all, the Medici family was known for their passionate contributions to the development of Humanism and the Italian Renaissance.

The body of Visconti’s ‘Medici Astral’ features an eight-sided facet design, modeled after the Florentine baptistery, a religious place, and symbol of the city's glorious past. Each color is limited and numbered to just 120 pieces and is available in fountain pen only.

Visconti has added their high ink capacity double-reservoir ‘power filler’ system and the pen is further enhanced by a clear center band, engraved with the ‘Medici’ name. This ‘window’ gives the user a clear view of the pens remaining ink level. The pen cap is secured with Visconti’s popular 'hook-safe-lock' closure system.

The writing instrument is brand new, unused, and comes complete. Please look over our images carefully as they represent the pen for sale.
