An impressive antique 19th century Slate & red marble Mantle Clock.  The case with red marble panels and engraved decoration..  The dial benefits from a black slate chapter ring with applied brass Roman Numerals held within a beveled glass door.

The clock contains an 8 day French Brass movement striking upon a bell.

The slate would have been sourced in Belgium and the clock made in France.  A lovely and unusual example.  Measures 45 cm 18" tall.

Please note the movement has not been tested - not sold as working order.  The springs appear fine.  Case in generally good antique condition - minor faults possible - small white paint specs to case, some fading to blackness.  Dial in good order.  Possibly
