19" Vtg Native American Indian Doll By Eleanor Holland Hand Modeled Head, Arms.

Measures 18 3/4" tall.

The head, lower arms, and moccasins are hand modeled from Fimo modelling clay.  The body is cloth,  the outfit is made from chamois.

Won second place in a doll competition in 1990.

There is a paper tag, signed by artist, attached to the doll.

Made by my mother, Eleanor Holland, who was an artist from her youngest years, until a few years before her death (1926-2004), and kept in her personal collection.  My mother not only made dolls, she also repaired antique dolls, as Holland Doll Hospital.
In addition, she always felt drawn to Native American Indian items.  She attended pow-wows, visited reservations, and purchased Native American Indian items.  She said she felt like she had been an Indian, in a former life.

Stand included.
