Notes: Very Good, 4to, 9 1/2" x 10." Bilingual text in Japanese and English. White paper wrappers with black lettering on front and spine. Triangle-shaped cut-out on front reveals a transparent leaf with the title and a blue background under said leaf. Covers have some wrinkling along spine, two light stains on front and back, slightly bumped tips, and a tiny tear at bottom corner of triangular cut-out, else clean and intact, binding tight. Pages have minuscule bumping to tips of fore-edge, else pristine and intact. Color plates depicting the artist's prints and black-and-white illustrations included. 35 pp., including plates and illustrations. Published on the occasion of an exhibition at the Yoh Art Gallery. The show featured Shoichi Ida (1941-2006), a Japanese artist painter, sculptor, and printmaker. Ida grew up in Japan during World War II and its post-war years. The artworks featured herein are six prints, plus two additional ones, that are part of Ida's series, _Surface is the Between--Between Vertical and Horizon_. Includes writings by Shoichi Ida and an interview between Ida and Professor Yoshiaki Inui. Edited by Yoh Ikeda. Translated from the original Japanese by Hiroaki Murakami.
