Offered here is a Grindley England miniature or demitasse cup & saucer set crafted as a commemorative souvenir of the 1937 coronation of King Edward VIII. Edward of course abdicated the throne & his brother George succeeded him. This English piece is made of glazed pottery with the colorful emblem of Edward on the exterior of the cup flanked with flags & crown. Gorgeous orange red decorative details edging both parts as well. Cup measures 2-1/2" in diameter & 1-3/4" tall. Saucer measures 4-3/8" in diameter. The underside of the saucer base is marked as pictured with the green Grindley England. Condition is excellent! No chips/cracks or repairs & minimal use. There is no crazing or staining noted.
