Superb book published for a major Belgian exhibition on Spilliaert, to my mind one of the unparalleled greats of the 20th century. Profusely illustrated with over 200 color plates of his riveting paintings - like Munch, a haunted amalgam of Symbolism and Expressionism - drenched in mood and mystery, with a good amount of work previously unpublished. An essential book on this towering artist - my highest recommendation. In MINT condition, still sealed.
