AXEL LIND
Axel Lind was born in Copenhagen in 1907 and educated while traveling in France and Italy. Axel Lind fell asleep in his home on Skagern the night of Saturday 28 May 2011. He had two months left until he would complete 104 years on August 1st. Lind has done magnificent portraits, including the Pieus XII, Benjamino Gigli and Gösta Ekman. Best known Lind for his landscapes and his marine paintings from Sweden, Finland and Italy. He is represented in a fletal museums and public buildings, including at airports.
