I have for sale a stunning early Victorian silver rose bowl. It is beautifully chased with exotic birds and snakes in a floral background. The detail and quality is exceptional. The bowl is hallmarked to the base for Dublin 1838. It has a diameter of 22.5 cms and weighs 693 grams or over 22 troy oz. Good original condition, some of the original gilding to the inside has worn as to be expected. Unfortunately the makers mark is worn but will try to do some research. It's a very rare piece and I have never seen this design on early Irish silver before.
