Antique, Children's Coat Dress, Coatdress, 12 Button, Circa 1890, Cotton, Lace Trim, Pleated Back.

This was one of my family member's coat dress from the turn of the twentieth century (See below for provenance).  Looks to be Cotton, with lace trim and a pleated back. 12 Buttons, top two are different than the other 10.  I do not know who made the dress, it is likely a one off, but it is machine stitched  It was worn by a boy at the time but the buttons are on the left side as they would be for a girl's shirt.  Measurements:  Length: 21", Chest is 11", bottom is about 13", Sleeves: 9", Neck: 3".

PROVENANCE:  This was my Great Grandmother's First Cousin's dress (Fred Knoche was his name).  The family was from Dresden, Germany, he was born in the United States and they lived in Missouri at the time.  We can't narrow down an exact year, but it is pre-1900.  My grandmother then mother have been in possession of the dress. 

Really nice condition (Very Good or better) for a 125 year old cotton coat dress.  There is one tear to the lace at the top edge of the right pocket, no other notable physical damage to the material.  There are a number of yellow stains throughout, possibly removable with a wash, but it is fragile, so I'm not washing it.  See the photos for the actual item, ask questions if you have any.

Items purchased on Friday may not be shipped until Monday.  While we do ship on SOME Saturdays, shipments are generally processed Monday through Friday during regular business hours. 

If payment is not received within 3 days an automatic unpaid item case will be opened on eBay.  If you need additional time to pay for an item, please request this BEFORE you place a bid.
