How does a rotary tiller work and why should you use it?
A rotary tiller is a device that is designed to mechanically dig, crush and loosen the ground. Thanks to the operation of the tiller , we can remove the old turf from the lawn, dig the soil, remove weeds, level the ground while preparing for a new lawn or vegetable crops. Additionally, the tiller is used in horticulture in the cultivation of vines or in the removal of weeds in inter-rows.
How does it look in practice?
Thanks to the rotating blades, fragments of soil are cut and crushed. The tiller is equipped with massive, laterally curved blades that thoroughly mix the soil. They are mounted on the working shaft, 4 pieces on each section, 28 pieces in total. The width of our work is 135 cm, while the depth at which we can work is 8 - 12 cm. In order for the tiller to work properly and perform its task, it must be used with a tractor with a minimum recommended power of 20 HP. Thanks to this, we will obtain a properly prepared soil for subsequent works.
This machine has the possibility of lateral movement, thanks to which we can additionally refine the position of the machine behind the tractor.
In the case of cultivators, a drive chain is used, which requires the use of a PTO shaft with protection, i.e. a shear wedge or a clutch in order to secure the tractor's modes and machine gears.
The TLM 135 4FARMER tiller is simple to build and solidly constructed. The hinged flap function makes it easier to keep the machine clean and provides better access to the main shaft of the knife axis.
