A Brand new 10 CD boxed set celebrating the work of Sir Adrian Boult.

CDs 1-4 comprises music by Elgar one of Boult’s passions and includes recordings of the Cello Concerto with Pablo Casals and the Violin Concerto with Alfredo Campoli. As well as the 2 Symphonies and the Enigma Variations. These were made in the late 1940s and 1950s.

Then more English music with Vaughan Williams 6th Symphony and Holst’s The Planets from the same period as the Elgar.

More concertos with soloists Yehudi Menuhin, Annie Fischer and Friedrich Gulda. Then highlights from Busoni’s opera Doctor Faust. For full contents see the picture.
