Art medal, in Bronze, 1912 " Préparation Militaire ",
50mm 64grs approx, by Grandhomme, issued for the Ministry of War, in very fine condition as scanned, rim nicks, edge marked "bronze" with horn (Paris mint )*. awarded to A. Maguy in 1920 on reverse, 1er Prix.
This medal was a warning to WWI which was to start several years later.
Obv. female seated on cannon instructing young man with rifle.
Rev. lion in front of tombstone, aeroplane and military trophies around.

Pointing Hand ==> from June 13th 1845 until October 1st 1860.
Bee ==> from November 1st 1860 until December 31st 1879.
