Title Les Decades de Tite-Live, De la Traduction de P. Du-Ryer de l'Académie Françoise. Tome I.

(The Decades of Livy, From the Translation of P. Du-Ryer of the French Academy. Volume I.)

Description and condition
History of Rome and the Roman people by Titus Livius (64/59 BC – AD 12/17), known as Livy in English, a Roman historian.
Translated to French by Pierre du Ryer  (c.1606 – 1658), a French dramatist.
Volume 1 only.
Published in Paris in 1669 (M. DC. LXIX).

Size: 6" x 3 1/2" x 1" (inches).

Original full leather binding in good condition, minor loss of leather on the top of the spine. Complete, clean bright pages, tight text block.

Inscribed by previous owner on the pastedown: "des Maindis de siglas D.F.M.D.L.T 1681". Unidentified, my guess "des Maindis" is last name and the inscription is in Spanish and reads "Maindis abbreviated D.F.M.D.L.T 1681". D.F.M.D.L.T is probably abbreviated full name of that person.
