TEN Large Spools of BLACK Thread, NOS from Military Surplus, for Hand Sewing or Serger/Overlock Machine
These spools are New (NOS) from Military Surplus.
*NOTE: the thickness of the spool at thread level (e.g. amount of thread on each spool) is not uniform, for some unknown reason. They are new, as packaged from the manufacturer, however. I'll give you the thickest ones available at the time of order.
Each spool weighs about 5 - 6 oz. -- 6" tall from top to bottom
-- 4" diameter at base of spool
-- 2" diameter at thread level
-- 1" diameter at top/inside of spool
Possibly Cotton - at least that's what it feels like, but there are no labels or other indication as to the makeup or size of the thread.
The only labels that came with the thread are at the bottom or each spool indicating color (see pictures).
Thicker than normal thread (see smaller green spool which is ONLY pictured as an example for perspective - smaller spool is NOT/NOT included in the shipment).
THREE STRAND TWIST? (see picture - also pictured in comparison to the green thread).
The plastic bags (packaging) came on each of the spools - one was removed only for pictures, then returned to bag.
