TEN Large Spools of SILVER Thread, NOS from Military Surplus, for Hand Sewing or Serger/Overlock Machine
These spools are New (NOS) from Military Surplus.
Each spool weighs about 4 - 5 oz. -- 4 1/4" tall from top to bottom
-- 1 1/4" diameter at base/inside of spool
-- 2 1/2" diameter at base/plastic outside on spool
-- 2" diameter at thread level
-- 3/8" diameter at top/inside (small hole) of spool
-- 1" diameter of plastic at top of spool
Possibly Rayon - there are no labels or other indication as to the makeup or size of the thread, but other spools of the same size but different colors which came in the same surplus shipment are marked "Rayon"
The only labels that came with the thread are at the bottom or each spool indicating color (see pictures), yardage and date. In this case, it has a color number of 67137, yardage of 3250 and the date 12/17/2001.
About the same thickness as normal sewing thread (see smaller green spool which is ONLY pictured as an example for perspective - smaller spool is NOT/NOT included in the shipment).
The plastic packaging came on each of the spools - one was removed only for pictures, then returned to packaging.
