Born on a drawing board in the late 1940's in Winnipeg Canada, Punkinhead came from the pen of cartoonist Charles Thorson (he did Bugs Bunny - Elmer Fudd - Snow White and Dwarfs - etc).  Mop Topped misfit cub named Punkinhead would become the Teddy Bear who was Santa's favorite little helper for the department store Eaton's in Canada as their version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer for Christmas. 

This is for a "One of a kind" 1997 Original Watercolor Painting of the 1940's MerryThought Punkinhead Bear and rocker, and the painting is called Punky's Playtime.  A one of a kind, no other to be found.  The artist is Janice Keirstead, a Canadian artist, and she has signed the front of the painting and it was done in 1997.  With framing it is 22 1/2" by 18 1/2", the watercolor painting itself is approximately 14 3/4" by 10 3/4".  It has been professionally framed with a wood two tone frame, white matted around the painting with a touch of beige matting, and has a glass front and secure wire hanger on the back.  The watercolors are very vivid, no fading at all, painting is in excellent condition.  The pictures kind of wash out the colors but they are very vivid.  The pictures do not do this justice.  The wood frame is in excellent, no damage condition.  On the back is writing from Janice Keirstead who did the painting to someone who has or had a collection of Punkinhead Bears and had her paint it for her.  What a wonderful painting for someone collecting Punkinhead Bears or even for a child's room.  Please contact me with any questions before you purchase.  Please read the full Terms and Conditions below before you purchase.

I describe my items to the best of my ability, not being an expert on item(s).  I add a lot of pictures for you to see, including any flaws or damage, so please look at each picture carefully, as my items are sold "AS IS", no return unless I have wrongfully described the item(s).

Please check the shipping calculator on the item page for shipping cost, or please contact me for shipping quote.  I ship by USPS Priority mail, USPS Ground Advantage which replaced First Class and Parcel mail, or FedEx, all with tracking.  It will ship the best way and cost to your area.  Every item(s) will be insured.  Any item $300 and over will require a signature.  I package as carefully as possible with sturdy boxes, bubble wrap and popcorn to arrive safely to you.    

I also ship International.  It is the full responsibility of the International buyer to pay any customs duty fees, tax fees, and any other International fees.
