Antique BRADLEY & HUBBARD Victorian Kneeling Nudes w/ Sphere Cast Iron Bookends

This is a pair of Authentic Bradley & Hubbard cast iron bookends. It is heavy, solid, and in very good original condition with a dark-aged patina. The felt on the base is gone. The bookends are about 6 1/2 inches tall. It is 5 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide at the bottom, with a combined weight of 6lbs.

It features a pair of kneeling female nudes with short hair and holding a sphere. It is from the Bradley & Hubbard MFG co. An American company that were Masters of Metalwork and produced lighting and decorative household items from 1854 until 1940.

The bookends carry the Bradley & Hubbard "Triangle & Lantern" Mark cast directly at the lower back portion of the bookends. This is a rare and beautiful piece of early Americana!  Bradley & Hubbard designs are found in North American museums and collections.
