Photograph Notes: 2007 was the Centenary of the Scout Association, this photo was taken at Pikes Pool Scout Centre near Bromsgrove. As part of the centenary celebrations over 5000 trees have been planted at the site. This photo shows the new saplings and their stakes and rabbit guards along the edge of what will be a new roadway through the site to be known as Centenary Avenue. Planted slightly later is the majority of the field to the right of the photo, this will in due course become known as Centenary Coppice and will (we hope) be named on future OS maps.
