SALMON ROSE BILLY BUTTONS

 (Gomphrena globosa)

Commonly known as 'Salmon Rose Buttons' or Globe Amaranth, it is a beautiful

 flowering plant, generally growing to a maximum of 90cm and sometimes

 smaller. 

Very unusual flowerheads resembling a rose-pink ball. Loves the heat and humidity.

Uses - Flowers buds are added to teas or vegetable, used as a garnish. 

Excellent cut flower and can be dried to use in dry flower arrangements. 

Has many herbal benefits and is reported to be beneficial for colic, diabetes, cough,

 asthma, bronchitis, fatigue, headaches, sore throat, hoarseness, laryngitis, jaundice and

 treatment for body sores.

Hardy and easy to grow. Looks great in rockeries, border plantings, pots tubs.
